A domestic fight between an adult man and two teenage boys came to a peaceful end after the man closed himself in a bedroom with a weapon, Bradley County authorities say.
Deputies responded to the 100 block of Thorne Circle, off U.S. Highway 64, at 9:40 p.m. Thursday, according to sheriff's office spokesman Bob Gault.
Entering the home, deputies found the man and boys fighting in a bedroom, Gault said in a news release.
“Shortly thereafter, the two were able to escape the residence with their mother and sister,” he said. “The suspect, who had a weapon in the bedroom, closed the door and refused to come out.”
Deputies talked to the man until he came out of the bedroom and surrendered about 3:30 a.m. today, Gault stated.
The adult was taken to Skyridge Medical Center for an evaluation, Gault said, and charges of aggravated assault and three counts of reckless endangerment are pending.
