A Catoosa County man has been charged with raping a 15-year-old girl who was cleaning his house, authorities said.
Jerry Gilstrap, 63, was denied bond on Monday after he was arrested on multiple charges last week, a Catoosa County Jail official said.
The mother of the alleged victim told authorities her daughter was at Gilstrap’s house on Jan. 26 doing some housework when he threatened to shoot her if she didn’t agree to have sex with him, a Catoosa County Sheriff’s Office report shows.
The mother complained to police on Feb. 1, the report shows.
Gilstrap was arrested Friday and charged with rape, aggravated sodomy, sodomy, aggravated sexual battery, child molestation and possessing a dangerous weapon during a crime, according to the report.
