The Volkswagen brand's January worldwide sales grew by 16.5 percent compared to a year ago, the company reported Wednesday.
The carmaker delivered 418,800 vehicles in the month with big increases in South America and Asia, according to the company.
In North America, the VW brand's deliveries rose 4.2 percent 30,400 units.
