Two people are dead and one is in critical condition after the car they were in left Fairview Road and crashed into several trees, according to the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.
Investigators said a female and two males were traveling north in a 1997 Mercury Grand Marquis when they crashed near 6559 Fairview Road near Chickamauga Lake about 5 p.m. Thursday. The female was found dead in the vehicle, and one of the males died at Erlanger hospital. The second male is in critical condition at Erlanger.
This is the second fatal traffic accident in the county this week. Two died in a three-car accident on state Highway 60 in the Birchwood community Tuesday night.
