2 found dead in Ellison Cave's in Walker County

Walker County investigators have confirmed two students from Florida have died in Ellison's Cave.

Sheriff Steve Wilson said emergency crews are trying to retrieve the bodies of two people who were rappelling in the cave and fell.

Walker Coroner Dewayne Wilson said the two were among a group of 10 students who came to the cave off Georgia Highway 193 to go rappelling.

He said members of the group notified rescuers in midafternoon Saturday that two of them had gotten in trouble in the cave. Ellisons' cave has the largest vertical drop of any cave in the United States at more than 600 feet.
