BOONE, N.C. - Appalachian State pulled away for an 78-68 win over the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga on Saturday.

The Mountaineers used a 21-5 run to pull away from UTC after the game was tied at 45-all.

ASU guard Omar Carter led all players with 22 points and Donald Sims had 19 for the Mountaineers (12-13, 8-7 SoCon).

Ricky Taylor led the Mocs with 21 points and DeAntre Jefferson contributed 11 points.

This was the second game in two days for UTC after the game at Western Carolina was postponed from Thursday to Saturday due to UTC having four players fall ill Wednesday.
