Bond was set today at $150,000 for the suspect in the shooting death of a man whose body was found shot in the head on Old Shellmound Road.

Jarrod Pickett, 26, remains in Marion County Jail, where he was sent after being arrested last Thursday at a motel in Chattanooga. He is charged with criminal homicide in the death of 50-year-old Kenneth Hudson.

Hudson's body was found Feb. 7. He had been shot in the head.

Marion County Sheriff Ronnie "Bo" Burnett has said authorities believe a fight broke out between Pickett and Hudson in the cab of Hudson's truck.

Marion County General Sessions Court Judge Mark Raines set Pickett's bond in a preliminary hearing this morning. The hearing will continue Friday.
