FORT PAYNE, Ala. - A Georgia parole violator was found with a methamphetamine lab Wednesday in Higdon, Ala., according to DeKalb County Sheriff Jimmy Harris.

In a news release, Harris said county Drug Task Force agents searched a camper off County Road 962 and found methamphetamine, meth-making ingredients, pills and drug paraphernalia.

They arrested William Allen Crane, 53, of Trenton, Ga., on a variety of drug charges. During the investigation, the officers found that Crane was wanted in Georgia on charges of violating probation on a previous meth charge.

He was jailed in DeKalb County pending the setting of bond, and he will await extradition to Georgia, Harris said.
