Greet our visitors with safe, clean-city environment

By Jack Harvey

Like many others in the area, I am a taxpayer, and I do have an opinion about how our tax dollars are spent these days.

Chattanooga makes a fair amount of money from visitors who come to our city and the surrounding area. We need to do our best to make sure they come back again someday.

We need a safe city, and we can make it a little safer by paying our police as much as we can afford to do, and have the proper number of officers for the size of our city and county.

Another biggie on the list is to make sure we clean up as much litter (a big job) as we can, and mow the grass often, before it gets too long and looks neglected.
