Zach Wamp's father dies in fall

Don Wamp, 78, well-known architect, civic leader and father of former U.S. Rep. Zach Wamp, died Friday after a fall at his office on Broad Street, family members said Sunday evening.

Visitation is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at Red Bank Baptist Church and funeral services will be at 1 p.m.

“My dad lived a very large life and his legacy is so big and he lived so boldly that we’re hearing from people across the country about the impact he had on their lives,” Zach Wamp said.
