Local talk show host Jay "Jammer" Scott confirmed via his Facebook page that he was terminated today from his job at 95.3 FM, WPLZ.

"Words of Management today: 'Difference of opinion regarding direction of show'," Scott wrote on his page. "Thank you for your support & listening to the show! I appreciate it!"

Scott indicated his firing happened at noon today. Scott has not returned a call seeking comment. Attempts to reach representatives with Brewer Media, which owns the station, have so far been unsuccessful. Scott did not list a reason for his termination.

He recently hosted a forum for two candidates vying to become Hamilton County's next mayor. His show ran 3 to 6 p.m. weekdays.
