Man beaten with hammer outside Chattanooga gas station

A man in Chattanooga was beaten over the weekend with a hammer outside a local gas station.

It happened Saturday evening at the Kanku's Station on 4th Avenue.

Police say James Wayne was hit several times with a hammer. The man who hit him was a stranger and reportedly intoxicated.
