Chattanooga Christian School all clear after bomb threat, officials say

UPDATE: As of 2:15 p.m., parents have received messages from the school to announce that the buildings are clear and the school has resumed a regular schedule.

Chattanooga Christian School received a bomb threat this morning, according to messages sent to parents from the school.

As of 12:56 p.m., school officials messaged parents to say that police are still searching the building and students are safe.

The school sent out its first alert at about 12:20 p.m.

"Please do not come to pick up your child. Campus is closed," one message read. "Student safety is the first priority. We will keep you informed."

School officials said they are dealing with the situation and will provide more details soon.

As of 1:27 p.m.: Police say they're preparing to leave the scene and declined to comment on details of why they were there.

The school is located at 3354 Charger Drive, off South Broad Street.
