Two more candidates have applied for the vacant District 3 seat, bringing the grand total number of candidates to 11. The deadline for applications passed at 4 p.m.
The new candidates are:
- Wayne Hamill
- Sean Rogers
The other candidates are, Micheal Baskette, Russell Collins, Mitch McClure, George Patten, Randall Price, Laurie Shipley, Gerald Haas and Terry Conley.
The Hamilton County Republican Women will sponsor a candidate forum on Monday at 7 p.m. in Hixson Middle School.
The commission plans to vote to fill the vacancy on Jan. 27.
