A passerby found the body of a dead man on the side of Wolf Creek Road in Spring City, Tenn., early Saturday morning, according to the Rhea County Sheriff's Office.
A passerby found the body about 1 a.m., a dispatcher with the sheriff's office said. The sheriff's office could not confirm the man's name or age on Sunday afternoon. They would not comment on the condition of the body or how long they believed he had been dead before he was found.
Though the sheriff's office said there are no obvious signs of foul play involved in the death, an autopsy will be performed and the case is still under investigation.
