Area Marine injured in Afghanistan

A Marine from Meigs County has been injured while serving in Afghanistan, WRCB-TV reports.

According to family members, Pvt. 1st Class Brandon Kyle Pendergrass was on a mission when the tactical vehicle he was riding in was hit by an improvised explosive device. He is expected to recover.
