A Cleveland, Tenn., woman is being treated at Erlanger after being shot in the arm and upper chest, according to Cleveland officials.
Officers were called to 147 Douglas Circle Northwest at 5:44 p.m. after receiving calls that a woman had been shot, said police spokeswoman Evie West.
When officers arrived on the scene, the woman had already been taken by private vehicle to SkyRidge Hospital. She was airlifted to Erlanger hospital shortly afterward, West said.
West could not confirm the woman’s name, age or condition as of 10 p.m. Tuesday, and no suspect information was initially released.
“We have detectives combing the scene, and I know a few are planning to be at the hospital for a while,” West said.
