ATLANTA - Authorities say a church van crashed into another vehicle in downtown Atlanta, injuring 11 people.

Atlanta Police Department spokesman Officer John Chafee said nine adults and one child in the van sustained minor injuries in the Sunday morning crash. He said the accident happened about 11 a.m. when the van collided with an SUV traveling through an intersection at a cross street.

Chafee said both drivers claimed to have a green light. The van flipped on its side and pinned the SUV into the corner of a building.

The driver of the SUV also sustained minor injuries.

Chafee said the van belonged to the House of Faith Church. A listed phone number could not be found for the church.
