Chattanooga man arrested, charged in connection with carjacking

photo Chattanooga police have arrested a 23-year-old man in connection with a carjacking, according to an arrest report. Charles A. Kyle, of Chattanooga, allegedly brandished a revolver and placed it to the head of a man he was riding with in a car on July 24. He ordered the man to get out of the vehicle before taking the car, according to the report. Kyle was going to purchase a cell phone from the driver and asked him to drive to Washington Hills Recreation Center, according to police. Kyle is charged with aggravated robbery. He remains at the Hamilton County Jail on a $10,000 bond, according to the jail website. His next court date is set for Aug. 16 before Hamilton County General Sessions Court Judge Ronald L. Durby.
