LFO pulls out alumni win

The first of what organizers hope to be many LFO/Ringgold alumni baseball games went to the host Warriors, 23-22, Saturday night at the Jack Archer Baseball Complex at Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School.

Among the highlights were Nathan Rochester's two home runs, seven RBIs and pitching save for the winning side and Judd Ross's four hits, including two homers, and six RBIs for Ringgold.

Organizer J.D. Davis of LFO was named the game's MVP for his efforts. Though a final count won't be available for a few days, the alumni game, which had sponsors ranging from former Lakeview player Rick Honeycutt to the Atlanta Braves and many local businesses, will raise several thousands of dollars for the Ringgold athletic rebuilding effort.
