A man has been critically injured in an early morning head-on collision at 740 Highway 153, Chattanooga police said.
Investigators responded to the accident just before 2 a.m. and determined that a Jeep Wrangler driven by 32-year-old Latisha D. Stephens was travelling north in the south bound lane, police said.
Stephens hit a Chrysler mini-van driven by 25-year-old Kevin Yates, police said. The collision critically injured Yates who was taken to a local hospital with multiple life threatening injuries.
Stephens was not seriously injured, according to a news release.
Traffic investigators are checking to see if the crash is alcohol related.
well at the time i came through there it was cleaned up @ 555AM then but as i got to dupont pkway the cops had the eastbound 153 closed to the dam i would like to know what that was about!
Eastbound 153 ?? 153 runs almost directly north and south
