What a shame. So sorry to hear there's been another shooting. Please fill in the facts when available.
Okay Rev Adams, get Ms Favors, Tommie Brown, et al, and head to city hall for another photo op. Brush up on the usual platitudes such as: we need to connect with the youth, more jobs, not enough programs, need to communicate, more money, etc, etc....don't dare ask that parent what a 17 year old was doing on the street at that time of morning.
Patriot- did you ever think that maybe he was coming home from a job? Its summer time. When I was that age I worked fast food and if you were on the closing shift you were there until midnight or later. It clearly states that the Police said there is no gang ties- its not just the family saying it. Or maybe he was coming home from visiting someone in the hospital. We don't know why he was out there, the police don't think it was because he was up to no good- so why can't you give the poor kid the benefit of the doubt and just let it be wrong time, wrong place.
Before you go assuming that my cousin 17 year old male out at night, doing God knws what..Let me stop you right there. He was on his way home from my aunt house when this happen. So don't stereotype because of the crime that has been happening lately in the city with the youth. My cousin is education, God fearing background, who loves the Lord, and he is not the average 17 yr old. The crimes which has happen was an act of hatred, BUT GOD SEE'S ALL AND KNOWS ALL YOU CAN RUN BUT YOU CAN'T HIDE..all we need is prayer for our family and city.. stay positive!!!
I'm praying for you Jayleo. You and your family.
Jayleo I am praying for you and your family during this tragedy... I don't know what your particular religious beliefs are but for me I think there is always a plan- its just we here on Earth don't always understand it. I hope whoever did this if found & justice is done swiftly.
THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR PRAYERS AND SUPPORT..our family religion is Baptist...
There's no need of trying to figure out what the young man was doing or why he was out that time of night. The thing that matters the most is, Was he saved? According to "Jayleo" he had a personal relationship with Christ so no matter what the newspress or anybody else say, I dare them to tell the world that this young man was saved. I just found out earlier that he's kin to me and I didn't personally know him, but I pray for comfort, peace, and understanding for my family. I wish the newspress could be found when teens are doing positive things around the city but guess what, they're nowhere to be found. God bless you all
Wildman, you need to be careful as to what you say. If you don't have positive things to say you should not speak, so question where do you think you came from a bird or better yet air, your a thought that would be soon forgotten. Be careful what you comment on Karma is something.
Wildman, you really need to watch what you say. How could you even think something like that unless you're not saved
JAYLEO your English is really bad. Did your graduate from Chattanooga State with a degree in journalism? Your crapola story is also just as bad. Your cousin should have stayed in a Chattanooga City Park because they have these signs that say no guns are allowed so the bad guys would have just put their guns away and went home.
Echo if you have nothing positive to say then keep you stupid comments to your self. This is not the place nor the time, for people like you.
