McMinn County sheriff's deputies arrested five people and seized several meth labs during a weekend sweep, according to a press release.

Deputies increased patrols in the Calhoun and Etowah areas on Friday and Saturday, busting several meth labs and a marijuana- growing operation, said Sheriff Joe Guy in the release.

Off County Road 2 near Calhoun, Tenn., officers found several active meth labs and arrested Haskell and Wanda Crabtree, Ricky Eaton and Dana Hardin, he said. All four were charged with initiation of manufacturing methamphetamine and booked in McMinn County jail, he said.

On Saturday, officers focused on County Road 890 in the East Etowah community, Guy said. At one of the houses along the road, officers found a small marijuana-growing operation, crack cocaine and a large amount of items used to make the drugs, he said.
