2nd person dies at Bonnaroo festival in Tennessee

MANCHESTER, Tenn. — Officials say a second person has died after attending the Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, Tenn.

Coffee County Sheriff Stephen M. Graves said Monday 24-year-old Christopher William Yoder of Raleigh, N.C., died of hyperthermia early Sunday after being airlifted from the festival to Erlanger Hospital in Chattanooga.

Graves said he is awaiting toxicology reports.

Bonnaroo organizers released a statement saying, "The safety of our patrons is our No. 1 concern, and we are deeply saddened by this."

On Thursday, the body of a 32-year-old woman was found inside a tent at the festival. An autopsy is to be performed.

The 10th annual festival, with 80,000 attendees, was Thursday through Sunday at a 700-acre farm.

I'd rather die having a good time than a slow painful death in an expensive hospital. There were 80,000+ people who didn't die and had a great time. It all comes down to choices.

"Choices"... Exactly correct. How does anyone expect to get up from the filth of the world and run into the arms of Jesus? She's dead. It's far too late for her. She has faced her judgment and no one knows where she is now. While you're still; here, you have a choice. Live like the rest of the world and enjoy the fire or hate the world and love God.

By the way, loving God means obedience to His Word, His Son, and His laws. I threw that in just so you'd know all the facts.

One last one. Once saved, always saved is a lie straight from the pit of Hell.

Libertarians4Freedom, mityeltu & dao1980 comments are disgraceful. These deaths are tragedies and don't involve frivolity, politics or religion.

Hello Idiots,

People die at Disney World too. Does that mean they are all going to hell or that they are O.D.ing on drugs? How do you know the people who died weren't Christians? Stop judging and start living a life people WANT to follow, not one people want to avoid.

7DecadeVol - you are wrong. EVERY death involves religion whether you want to believe it or not. The fact is, everyone will stand before the judgment seat and be held accountable for every word and every deed. She's dead and has faced her judgment. Heaven or hell, I don't know, but she has already face God. While you are still alive you have the opportunity to change your mind and trust the only One who can save.

You're right, it is a tragedy. And yes, thousands die every day. And throughout all of history, most people have rejected God. Do you think everyone who sits in a pew will enter the Kingdom of Heaven?
