Lindgren to lead Memorial board

Dr. Katherine Lindgren, director of the school of nursing at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, will serve as chairwoman of the Memorial Hospital board effective July 1.

Lindgren has served for the past two years as secretary for the 18-member board for Chattanooga’s second-biggest hospital.

Memorial also announced Tuesday that four new directors have joined the hospital board in the past year.

Joining the board are Cynthia Nesson, a partner at Yarn Work/Fiber Works Art Studio; James L. E. Hill, retired chief executive from Lupton Co.

James H. Pesnell, retired from Cigna Insurance, was appointed to fill a vacancy on the board in October and Aaron D. Webb, vice president of legal services with EPB, was appointed to fill a vacancy in January.
