Danny Adams, most recently head coach at Winfield, Ala., has been named football coach at Rhea County High School.
Adams, who succeeds Jason Fitzgerald, has coached in Mississippi and Alabama and has 15 undefeated regular seasons under his belt along with a 4A Mississippi State championship in 1999 and an Alabama 3A runner-up finish in 2004.
“I think he’ll be a great fit,” Rhea principal Jesse Messimer said. “He has a fire and enthusiasm about him that’s contagious.”
