A man and a teenager have been charged in connection with an early Monday morning shooting of an 18-year-old.

Teairre Moore, 19, and a 17-year-old juvenile have been charged with attempted first-degree murder and aggravated assault, according to Chattanooga police spokeswoman Sgt. Jerri Weary.

In addition, a witness to the incident, 18-year-old Germaine Favors, was arrested for giving false statements to police and trying to throw off the investigation, Weary said.

All three suspects were booked at the Hamilton County Jail, the sergeant said.

Adrian Turner was shot just after midnight at 1005 Spears Ave., when a vehicle pulled up to his residence and an occupant inside called Turner over, Weary said. As he approached the vehicle, someone in the car shot Turner three times in the chest then drove away, she said.

He was taken to Erlanger hospital for surgery and is in critical but stable condition, Weary said.

Police said it is likely that the shooting is related to a dispute Turner was involved in with others Sunday evening.
