Police investigate strange theft

CHATTANOOGA (WRCB) -- Police officers see it all; death, destruction and drama but according to Detective Dale Taylor this theft takes the cake.

"This was definitely unique," says Chattanooga Police Detective Dale Taylor. "This one rings up with kids who say the darndest things, the things humans do, the darndest things."

Surveillance video from a retail shop on Highway 58, Senegal Fashions, shows a criminal using his car to open the locked door, with bars. It's too late or early for customers.

"This is him actually rams the front of the business to get the door and the bars out of the way and get the clothing and back out," says Taylor.
