Hamilton County: Commissioners call off joint school board meeting

Hamilton County Commissioners this morning decided to call off an upcoming meeting with Board of Education members.

The meeting, set for March 15, was to continue discussions with the school board about who has control of about $6 million generated as a result of a Payment-In-Lieu-Of-Taxes agreement with Volkswagen.

Commissioners and school board members have argued over control of the money. This week, Tennessee Attorney General Bob Cooper said the county could retain control of the money.
