A family’s living room was destroyed and two cats were killed in a blaze that ignited in a Dallas Bay home Wednesday afternoon.
It was the second house fire Dallas Bay Volunteer firefighters fought today, Hamilton County Emergency Services spokeswoman Amy Maxwell said.
A neighbor reported the fire at 2406 Northshore Drive around 4:30 p.m., Maxwell said.
Firefighters contained the blaze to the living room area. The homeowners, Frank and Alicia Schleicher, were not home and no people were injured, Maxwell said. =
The cause of the fire is undetermined and will be investigated by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
A neighbor told investigators that residents on Northshore Drive had been without power since Monday’s storm, said Maxwell.
