Lauren Alaina Suddeth drew high praise from “American Idol’s” judges Wednesday night in the first live voting round to choose Season 10’s finalists.
She’ll learn tonight whether viewers agreed. “American Idol’s” results show begins at 8 p.m. on Fox.
Suddeth, a sophomore at Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High School, sang Reba McEntire’s recent hit, “Turn On the Radio.”
Randy Jackson compared her to a hybrid of previous “Idol” winners Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood. Steven Tyler called her “the best,” and Jennifer Lopez applauded the performance and said she believed Suddeth had even more potential.
