Sandys, great-grandson of Winston Churchill, delivered an invitation for the high school band and chorus to perform in the January, 2013, New Year's Day parade in London.

During his visit Sandys toured the school, spoke with students and listened to a performance by members of the Walker Valley band and chorus and stayed for lunch.

"I like to think, given that I am very fond of this nation, that you bring a piece of America to the streets of London,'' Sandys told students.

Band Director Alan Hunt said it will be the band's fourth appearance in the London parade and the chorus' third trip.
