NASHVILLE—A 9-2 run to begin the fourth quarter snapped a tie game and helped Ensworth pull away for a 66-55 victory over McCallie in the Division II-AA state basketball championship game this evening at Lipscomb University.
McCallie’s Blue Tornado (19-8) were playing in their first state-title game, while Ensworth has two championships in the last three years. The top-ranked Tigers (27-3) did not lose to an in-state opponent all season.
