Suspects sought in Dade slaying

A man was killed in a possible shooting on Sand Mountain on Wednesday night, according to the Dade County (Ga.) Sheriff's Office.

Deputies were called to a residence on the 440 block of Gass Road around 6 p.m., said Sheriff Patrick Cannon.

"We arrived on the scene, and there was a man in his early 20s, fallen in the front doorway," Cannon said. "At this point we're not sure exactly what the cause of death is. It's a possibility there were some stab wounds - we just aren't sure."

The sheriff's office has not released the name yet.

The home belonged to Jonathan Ellison, one of the suspects in the case, according to Cannon. Deputies found Ellison's two small children inside as they were combing the scene.

A woman who had dropped the victim off at the residence said she had heard an altercation inside, and what sounded like gunshots. She said the man ran to the door, waved at her to leave, and fell.

She said she then saw two white males exiting the back of the house. The sheriff said investigators are looking for Ellison and James Franklin Oglesby. Both are in their early 20s.
