Three people were held captive in a bathroom this morning while thieves ransacked their home, according to police.

Buffie Johnson, who lives at 1994 Appling St., told police that her daughter was preparing to leave for school about 7:30 a.m. when three men rushed into their home, demanding money.

Johnson and her daughter were forced into a bathroom with Johnson’s boyfriend, according to police spokeswoman Sgt. Jerri Weary. The victims told police they were forced to disrobe while the assailants ransacked the home for more than an hour.

At one point, Johnson was shocked with a stun gun and her boyfriend was hit in the eye with a pistol, police said.

None of the victims were seriously injured, but said the thieves took four televisions, two computers, a cell phone, and Johnson’s maroon Ford Escape.

Weary described the suspects as three black males, about 17 to 18 years old and all armed with pistols.

One was heavy set; another was dark-skinned with a blue hooded sweat shirt and black Dickie pants; and the last was tall and light-skinned in dark clothes, she said.

Investigators collected evidence and information at the scene but no arrests have been made, Weary said.

If anyone has information on these suspects, they are asked to contact the Chattanooga Police Department.

It was only a matter of time before criminals got their hands on such a weapon as stun guns. Any weapon the general population can obtain so can the criminals.
