Bob Main is certainly an appropriate choice by the Chattanooga Area Chamber of Commerce and a number of prominent business groups to be honored as the 2011 Chattanooga Area Manager of the Year.
Main began 23 years ago as the lone employee at Siskin Hospital for Physical Rehabilitation. Under his leadership, that organization has grown tremendously in providing wonderful services to Siskin Hospital’s many patients, and thus to our community as a whole.
Main is president and chief executive officer of the outstanding rehab hospital.
Dr. John Boxell, chairman of the Siskin Hospital board, described Main as “a compassionate person, committed, an extremely hard worker.”
He said Main is “constantly looking for ways to enhance care for the patients he serves.”
The award will be presented to Main at a luncheon at the Chattanooga Convention Center on June 1.
Main deserves congratulations. And all Chattanoogans have reason to appreciate everyone associated with an organization that provides such an important service for so many.
