UPDATE: Man in custody after standoff with police

A man has been taken into custody after a standoff with Chattanooga Police and a SWAT team.

According to 911 dispatchers, the police arrived at a home on Crompton Street in Lupton City, responding to reports of a man displaying threatening behavior with a firearm.

The man barricaded himself in a residence, police spokeswoman Jerri Weary said.

The suspect was taken into custody without further incident.
