A FEMA center for Hamilton County tornado victims has opened at Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, according to a news release.
The center is in the Hulsey Recreation Center at 4870 University Drive, Hamilton County Emergency Services spokeswoman Amy Maxwell said in a news release.
Hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., seven days a week.
Storm victims may apply at the center for a variety of aid through the Federal Emergency Management Agency. To speed the process, register online at www.disasterassistance.org or by phone at 1-800-621-FEMA (3362).
Maxwell said another FEMA center is expected to open in the Tiftonia area in the next few days.
