2 teens injured in party shooting

Two teens were hospitalized and one is in critical condition after they were shot in their legs at a party early Saturday morning.

The 17- and 13-year-old males were injured when the suspected juvenile shooter got in a fight with another juvenile, pulled a gun and shot into a crowd at a 613 Tunnel Blvd. party around 1 a.m., according to Chattanooga Police Sgt. Jerri Weary.

The boy in critical condition was hit in the femoral artery and was taken in for emergency surgery. The other boy was struck in the lower leg and has been treated and released.

Police plan to charge the suspect with two counts of attempted first-degree murder, two counts of aggravated assault and reckless endangerment.
