A 6-year-old Menlo, Ga., girl died along with her grandmother and another woman died in a head-on crash Saturday when the woman crossed lanes on Georgia Highway 48 and crashed into the family’s car head on Saturday afternoon.
Eight-year-old Skyler Freeman, brother to the girl, Alyssa Freeman, and grandson of Jimmie Burrage, 45, sustained serious injuries and was taken to Elanger Hospital around 12:30 p.m., according to Georgia State Patrol Lt. Paul Cosper.
Vickey Wooten, 59, of Plowed Land, was alone driving the other car about a mile away from Minlow near mile marker 4. Cosper said alcohol did not appear to be a factor.
