Burglary suspect sought

A man suspected of burglary, theft and vandalism from an apartment is the subject of this week’s Crime Stoppers.

According to Chattanooga police, the victim reported that someone broke the window of his apartment in the 5700 block of North Morgan Lane and went in. The thief stole more than $8,000 worth of property and destroyed a television worth $7,500. He has not been located.

Police are seeking Anthony Thomas Ballew, also known as Anthony Ray, 23, on charges of aggravated burglary, theft over $1,000 and felony vandalism.

Ballew is 5 feet, 10 inches tall and 140 pounds. His last known address is 8783 Dayton Pike, Lot 83, Soddy-Daisy, Tenn.

Anyone with information that leads to Ballew’s arrest could be eligible for a cash reward up to $1,000. Call 423-698-3333.
