Federal officials on Wednesday opened three new disaster recovery centers in Tennessee to help those whose homes or businesses were affected by recent storms and tornadoes.
The newly opened centers are in Bledsoe, Rhea and McMinn counties. The centers will be open from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. local time, seven days a week.
At the centers, recovery specialists from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the Tennessee Emergency Management Agency, the U.S. Small Business Administration and other agencies will explain disaster assistance programs and help survivors apply for help.
Federal-state disaster assistance can include grants for rental assistance and home repairs, as well as low-interest loans to cover uninsured property losses.

The new centers are at the following addresses:
* Bledsoe County's Brayton Baptist Church, 2827 Graysville Road, Graysville, Tenn.
* Rhea County's Evensville Fire Hall, 801 Eagle Lane, Evensville, Tenn.
* McMinn County's Claxton Volunteer Fire Department, 1711 County Road 750, Athens, Tenn.
Disaster recovery centers remain open in Bradley and Hamilton counties:
* 10 Church St., NE #1, Cleveland, Tenn.
* Hulsey Wellness Centers at Southern Adventist University, 4870 University Drive, Collegedale.
