The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga softball team is heading back to the Southern Conference tournament title game, and the Lady Mocs appear to be getting better with each game in the tournament in Statesboro, Ga.
The Lady Mocs took a 1-0 lead in the first inning Friday against UNC Greensboro in the winners-bracket final, and blew the game open late with a four-sixth inning and a seven-run seventh inning for a 13-0 win and a berth in today’s championship game at 1:30 p.m.
Senior third baseman Tiffany Baker had her breakout game of the tournament going 3-for-5 with four RBIs as the Lady Mocs (41-12) had a season-high 20 hits against the Spartans (26-30).
