Chattanooga police today identified one of the two people shot on Dodson Avenue on Friday night.
Police spokeswoman Jerri Weary said in a news release that Shalone Wingate, 34, and a 16-year-old boy were injured in a drive-by shooting at 551 Dodson Ave. shortly before 11 p.m.
Wingate was hit in the feet and the teen was hit in the thigh as they ran for cover, Weary said. Neither suffered life-threatening injuries, she said.
The victims told police that they didn't see the shooters because they were running for cover. As of this after noon, police have no suspect information or motivation for the shooting, Weary said.
