Man stabbed in Ford versus Chevrolet dispute in Gordon County

Police believe a man stabbed his friend after the two men got into a weekend argument over whether Ford or Chevrolet vehicles were better.

Police say Zachary Wood, 21, of Calhoun, and several friends were driving their four-wheel-drive vehicles in a field off Beamer Road when an argument broke out.

Wood and another young man, whose name hasn't been released, began a fistfight and then Wood pulled out a knife and stabbed the man, Gordon County Sheriff Mitch Ralston said in a news release.

The man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, and Wood was taken to the Gordon County Jail, Ralston said.

Wood was charged with aggravated assault, the sheriff said.
