Body found near home off Dayton Pike

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the events surrounding a young man’s body found near a home off Dayton Pike, according to sheriff’s spokeswoman Janice Atkinson

Deputies responded to a report of a body found Wednesday afternoon near 14717 Dayton Pike, where they found a man lying on the ground close to a residence, said Atkinson.

The body was identified as belonging to Brian Edwin Dodd, 26, of Soddy Daisy, Atkinson reported.

His body was transported to the Hamilton County Medical Examiner office to determine the manner and cause of death. Nothing was found to show foul play at this time, although Atkinson said the investigation is on-going.
