• Service: Overnight and breakfast accommodations for up to 40 people

• Size: The 5,000-square-foot building, which also includes a 1,600-square-foot pavilion, includes 12 bunk beds and six private rooms.

• Rates: $27 a night for a bunk bed, up to $70 a night for a private room. Rates include breakfast provided on site from Niedlov's

• Opening date: June 3 is the grand opening. The hostel will operate seven days a week, year-round.

• Owners: Max Poppel and Dan Rose, college roommates and climbing enthusiasts from Boston, began building the Crash Pad last December. "We are combining the atmosphere and convenience of a hostel with the cleanliness and charm of a boutique hotel in a unique setting," Rose said. The hostel is designed to capitalize on Chattanooga's outdoor attractions, the appeal of the Main Street community and the tourism and entertainment opportunities in the Scenic City, Rose said.
