Chattanooga-area resident Lauren Alaina second on 'American Idol'

Chattanooga-area resident Lauren Alaina Suddeth tonight lost to Scott McCreery in the "American Idol" finale.

Her singing efforts that led to the second spot in the competition came as many supporters gathered at the McKenzie Arena at UTC to cheer her on while watching the results of the highly popular TV show.
