Three face meth charges

A man and two women — one of whom is eight months pregnant — face meth-related charges after police noticed smoke coming from an adjacent apartment while investigating a disorder early Tuesday, according to Chattanooga police Sgt. Jerri Weary.

Francio Martinez, Maria Davis and mother-to-be Brittany Pate were charged with initiating manufacture of a meth lab and possession of drug paraphernalia, Weary said.

Police were called to 5430 Crestview Drive in Hixson on a disorder around 1 a.m. All three were at the address and admitted to having access to an adjacent apartment. Inside the next-door apartment was a working meth lab, which they all admitted to operating, Weary said.

Pate was taken to a hospital for treatment and will be jailed when she is discharged, Weary said.
