A man has been charged in the April 5 shooting death of Cordarrius Armour at the Okie Dokie Mart on Roanoke Avenue, Chattanooga police said today.

Armour, 23, was shot in the chest and died on the spot. Friends said at the time that he had a history of confrontations with the shooter.

Police said they obtained a warrant for Tyrone Carmichael on charges of first-degree murder and unlawful possession of a firearm.

Spokeswoman Jerri Weary didn't provide Carmichael's age, address or the circumstances of the arrest, but she said he was being held in the Hamilton County Jail.
